EU Data Act

The EU Data Act gives users of connected products and related services more insight into and control over the data generated through their use. Motionblinds is a smart home solution that allows users to control their blinds through the Motionblinds app. In doing so, certain data may be generated.

On this page, we explain what data may be generated when using Motionblinds products, what rights you have under the EU Data Act, and how you can access or request this data.

Your rights under the EU Data Act

The EU Data Act gives you certain rights regarding data generated through your use of connected products and related services. This includes the right to:

Access and receive data available to you under the EU Data Act, free of charge;
Receive this data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format;
Request that your data is shared with a third party of your choice.

What data is generated?

When using Motionblinds products and the Motionblinds app, different types of data may be generated. This may include:

Device information, such as device type, device identifiers and hardware or firmware information.
Device status and usage data, such as blind position, movement status, battery level and other operational information.
Configuration data, such as information about your home, rooms, connected devices and their settings.
Connection data, such as technical information about the connection between your app and connected devices.
App and preference data, such as app information, language and selected settings.
Technical and diagnostic data, such as system information, connectivity events and error information.

The specific data available may vary depending on your Motionblinds product and how you use the Motionblinds app.

How can I access my data?

How you can access your data depends on the Motionblinds app you use. Below, we explain how to access your data for each app. Identify which Motionblinds app you use and follow the relevant steps.

Motionblinds Bridge app

If you use the Motionblinds Bridge app with a CMD-01 or CM-20 Bridge, you can request your data by completing the form below. Please enter the email address linked to your Motionblinds account. This allows us to identify your account and provide you with the data available to you under the EU Data Act.

Motionblinds Matter Bridge app

If you use the Motionblinds Matter Bridge app with a CM-55 or CM-54 Bridge, you can access and download your data directly through the app. You do not need to submit a separate request. To download your data:

Open the Motionblinds Matter Bridge app.
Go to the main menu of the app.
Tap “Legal” and select “Export data” to download your data.
