The motors run on a built-in battery charged by a solar panel, or on mains power, and are set up in about a minute in the Motionblinds app. They work on the same platform as Motionblinds indoor blinds, so all shading in the home is controlled in one app. Add the Motionblinds Bridge to connect outdoor shading to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings via Matter.
Outdoor screens
Smart motors for (ZIP) screens on windows and façades, solar-powered or wired. Obstacle detection stops the screen when it meets an obstacle, lock mode keeps it in position, and fabric stretch calibration keeps the fabric tight, season after season.
Outdoor awnings
Smart motors for awnings on terraces and façades, solar-powered or wired. Motor-powered LED lighting gives light by night, and automatic wind protection retracts and locks the awning in strong wind.

The battery is built into the motor and charged by a solar panel. No cable to the wall, no electrician needed. Wired versions are available too.
