With Motionblinds and Zigbee, you can bring your blinds into a low-power mesh network alongside your lighting, sensors, and other connected devices. Wire a Zigbee-enabled shutter controller behind your Motionblinds motor, and control your blinds locally from any Zigbee-based control system.

What is Zigbee?
Zigbee is a wireless communication standard built for smart home devices. It uses a low-power mesh network, where each device helps relay signals to others, extending range and improving reliability throughout the home. Zigbee is supported by a wide range of smart home ecosystems and hubs, and is known for its low power consumption and broad device compatibility.
Shelly 2PM Gen4 or ROBB SMARRT
Motionblinds mechanical motors can be wired to a Zigbee-enabled shutter controller using the motor's up and down cables. Both the Shelly 2PM Gen4 and the ROBB SMARRT Zigbee Shutter Switch support this connection, giving you a choice of device to bring your blinds onto a Zigbee network.

Yes. A Motionblinds mechanical motor can be wired to a Zigbee-enabled shutter controller, such as the Shelly 2PM Gen4 or the ROBB SMARRT Zigbee Shutter Switch, which then connects wirelessly to your Zigbee control system.
No. The Zigbee-enabled shutter controller connects directly to the Motionblinds motor via wired up and down cables. A separate Motionblinds bridge is not required.
Either device can be wired to a Motionblinds mechanical motor and connected to a Zigbee network. The right choice depends on your preferred brand and any other Shelly or ROBB SMARRT devices already in your smart home setup.
